Social Worker Saffy Sutton has broken out of her old, abusive, relationship. To mark the change, she is spending time doing some voluntary work at a residential riding school, which specialises in riding holidays for disabled people.
She is instantly attracted to fellow worker, Dr Doug McGlone, a GP who is spending his summer holiday volunteering with the group.
Saffy can’t hide her attraction to him and wrongly thinks he is judgemental, but working with the residents makes her see how kind and committed he is. Together they help people overcome not just physical disability but also the psychological problems ill health often brings. Working so closely in life or death situations makes her see just how committed to the work he is.
Can she break away from the constraints of her past?
